A Moment of Seriousness from Queeble Prophets

We, the Queeble Prophets, are two youthful Queen fans.
We lived through the 70's and were always first in our teenage peer groups to have the latest Queen records.
We lived and raised children through the 80's and played those children Queen songs rather than nursery rhymes to educate them musically.
We lived through the 90's and became fascinated with Queen solo efforts, cried genuinely at the death of Freddie Mercury, bought computers and found cyberspace.
We are still plodding along in this new century and still play our Queen music, visit Queen chatrooms, websites, mailing lists, soapboxes and have become friends with countless other Queen fans around the world.

We consider ourselves to be True Queen Fans.

The Spirit of Queen was what attracted us to the group. It is what kept us as fans for over 30 years.
We loved the attitude of Queen – four over-the-top ‘lads’ defying categorisation, flamboyantly flying the face on conventionality with their tongues firmly planted in their cheeks, loud, self-assured, cocky while remaining totally loyal to their fans – whoever they were.

And now we feel that the time has come to reclaim what was the True Spirit of Queen.

It seems to have died along with Freddie.

His legacy will always be with us but it needs to be remembered if Queen is to remain the life changing group it once was.

At present, various fans and group members, have taken it upon themselves to hide that long lost spirit and to demand that a Queen Fan fit a certain prescribed format that does not allow thinking, opinions, or off colour jokes. In fact, we think, the world of Queen has become banal, totalitarian and pompous. We say to all who visit our site that we will endeavour to do as Freddie set out to do, regardless of what will undoubtedly come our way.

In Freddies words "Fuck them darling if they just don't get it."
